What is AME Wizard and ReviOS Playbook?
AME Wizard is an open-source tool that modifies running Windows systems with Playbooks, which includes various customizations such as applying registry tweaks, removing system components, etc.
With the help of AME Wizard, ReviOS Playbook customizes running Windows by removing bloatware and unnecessary system components, improving privacy and system performance while maintaining compatibility, for more information, read features here. Keep in mind, ReviOS Playbook only works with Windows 10 21H2 (19044)
, 10 22H2 (19045)
, and 11 22H2 (22621)
.

Differences between ReviOS Playbook and ISOs
Both versions are identical except for the amount of storage space used. The Playbook uses a normal components cleanup method while the ISOs use more aggressive approach known as ResetBase
. This might break Windows Updates functionality, but we provide Upgrade ISOs instead to address this issue.
Which version is more reliable for daily use?
For daily use, ISOs could be more stable than the Playbook, because AME Wizard is currently in beta and may contain some bugs.
Known issues:
- Taskbar and Start menu items reset
- Programs might take a lot of time to load on non-fresh 11
- To avoid, disable security features in Windows Defender, such as Memory Integrity and Driver Blocklist before using AME Wizard, see #10
We recommend to backup any important data before using it
Using the Playbook on an existing custom Windows
TLDR: Don't.
While it is possible, we strongly advise against using any playbook on custom Windows systems. AME Wizard is designed to be used only on stock Windows, and we recommend doing a fresh install before applying any Playbook, including ReviOS, to ensure minimize the risk of system damage.
Do I need to reapply the Playbook after using Windows Updates?
After updating, Windows reverts tweaks and restores unwanted components, thus it is recommended to reapply it.
Getting Started
The section is work-in-progress
To begin with, a fresh installation of Windows 10 21H2 (19044)
, 10 22H2 (19045)
, or 11 22H2 (22621)
is required. You can either download a Windows ISO (Create Windows Installation Media) from the official website or build one using UUP dump. For a more comprehensive guide, we highly recommend reading AME's documentation.
After installing original Windows, head over to our download page to download our Playbook and AME Wizard. Open AME Wizard and merely drag-and-drop the downloaded apbx
file into the tool and disable all security features, including Realtime, Tamper Protection, Memory Integrity and Driver Blocklist.
In case AME Wizard displays ReviOS Playbook as malicious means that the current playbook has updated recently and isn't yet verified by the AME team.
Make sure everything is downloaded from official sources.
